Property Details:
The Dater Creek Ranch consists of rolling grasslands, several valleys and rocky buttes, is about 4 miles long east to west and ¾ mile wide. Dater Creek, a seasonal spring fed creek starts near the middle of the property and flows for approximately 2 miles northeast. In the past the owner used some of the irrigation wells to drain into the creek after irrigating hay meadows which provided stock water downstream. Also at about the center of the property is an old homestead location and grove of trees. The structure is still standing and the trees are mature, which in turn would make a nice new home site location. The ranch is perimeter fenced with one cross fence and is in hard grass country, well known for its ability to put gains on livestock. The ranch is made of mainly seasonal grasses, not much sage, and a former CRP field. There are three irrigation wells, well number 1 at a depth of 140 feet, producing 1,350 gpm. The number 2 well is at 150 feet, producing 1,000 gpm and the number 3 well at 125 feet producing 1,800 gpm. These wells have not been used in a few years and will need some work; there is electricity to all three.
Wildlife/Recreation:
The abundance of feed and cover in the draws makes Dater Creek Ranch a well visited place by local wildlife that includes whitetail deer and antelope and a variety of birds, including eagles, ducks and wild turkey.
