Westcliffe, Colorado horse ranch
Nestled in the Wet Mountain Valley near Westcliffe below the towering Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range is the 140-acre horse ranch known as Fazenda das Pedras. A three level, 7,000 sq ft log home with vaulted ceilings and oversized windows provides breathtaking views from every room. Across the cascading waterfall is a three bedroom guest quarters lodge. Some of the other facilities include log sided horse barn with caretaker quarters, 2nd horse barn, hay barn, outdoor arena, training round pens, hot walker/exerciser and six smooth wire pastures that converge at the main barn. Adjacent to public lands the ranch offers unlimited riding opportunities, perfect for the equestrian enthusiast, full time residence or mountain retreat.
The main horse barn is a two story 2,400 sq ft log sided building with steel roof. Sliding doors at both ends and open alleyway, box stalls, heated automatic waterers, tack room, storage and two upper level staff/caretaker apartments. Next to this is the 2nd Horse Barn which combined provides a total of twelve, 12' X 12' stalls, each with 36 ft runs and includes heated wash rack and vet area.
A new all-metal, 80' X 120' Indoor Arena has sand riding surface and oversized doors at both ends.
To complete the building list there is a hay barn 48' X 30', equipment barn 48' X 20' and a log-sided chicken coop. The ranch has an outdoor arena with grand stand seating, free standing German electric horse walker, and round pen training ring.
Westcliffe has tradionally been a rural ranching community, but most recently has become known as a renowned art center. New shops and restaurants have come to the downtown area offering area residents greater selection and entertainment. Within two miles of the property is the St. Andrews of Westcliffe golf course. The area is known for its cool summers and mild winters, boasting 320 days of sunshine per year and very low humidity. Fishing is available at all the high mountain lakes or nearby Arkansas River and Grape Creek with exceptional wildlife including elk, deer and bear. Right nearby one can ride the rainbow trail, a 126 mile horse and foot rail that traverses the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

The ranch is served by two wells, one at 338 ft. and the other at 440 ft. each producing 7.5 GPM. Three septic systems, three phone lines with back up power by a 15,000 KW generator.
