Horse Property in Douglas County, Colorado

Views of Pikes Peak and the mountain ranges from Walsenburg to Fort Collins can be seen from this 35-acre horse property in Franktown, Colorado. The Colorado Horse Park is within 20 minutes.

The area around Goose Ridge Ranch is known for dry farming hay production. In most years the area gets just enough moisture and the soil is good enough to produce large quantities of good quality hay. This deeded 35 acre property has perimeter and cross fencing. This area of Colorado is known as good horse ranch country. The Colorado Horse Park is only 20 minutes from Goose Ridge Ranch. The ranch also is within minutes of a number of different "Open Space" areas with public hiking, bicycling and horse tails. The ranch is very near Castlewood Canyon State Park. This area has rolling terrain with fantastic views of the Rocky Mountains and the Front Range from Walsenburg to Fort Collins. The area has good soil and adequate rain fall to have good dry land farming.
