Hunter's Choice is a 1,140 acre hunting ranch in the beautiful Pine Ridge area of Nebraska. Hunter's Choice Game Ranch is located fifteen miles Southeast of Crawford, Nebraska. The ranch is approximately 30 miles east of the Wyoming border and 40 miles south of the South Dakota border. Air service is available in Chadron, 36 miles East, Scottsbluff 60 miles South, Casper, Wyoming 170 miles or Rapid City, South Dakota 110 miles.
Property Details:
The ranch consists of 640 deeded acres plus 500 acres leased, at an average elevation of 4,500 ft., all in high game fencing, with four windmills providing excellent water. The property is heavily treed with ponderosa pine and includes several canyons with rolling hills, very scenic, making ideal habitat for the elk and abundant wild turkey. While operated as a hunting ranch the property with its beautiful scenery offers a multitude of possibilities. There are no improvements on the property except for a camp trailer and storage shed which are both included.
Hunting Operations:
Hunter's Choice Game Ranch is a Wyoming LLC, and included in the land purchase is the hunting business built up over the years, presently accommodating 30 to 50 hunters per year. These have been guaranteed harvests with the experience of a fair chase hunt for trophy animals. Only bull elk have been on the ranch with scores of 350 to 400. The ranch provides for accommodations at the historic Fort Robinson 12 miles from the ranch. Hunters relax in the former officer's quarters and enjoy home cooked meals.
