Climate:
Situated at an elevation of 5,746’ and protected on two sides by 11,000’ mountains, Glenwood Springs enjoys an alpine climate with virtually no humidity in the summertime, little snow in the winter and an average of 300 days of sunshine each year. Summertime temperatures are in the 70s and 80s, and fall temperatures are in the 60s and 70s during the day with evening temperatures dropping into the 30s and 40s. Wintertime (December – February) sees daytime highs in the 30s and 40s and spring (March – May) highs are in the 60s and 70s. Average annual precipitation is 16.5 inches. Lower temperatures and more precipitation can be expected at the higher elevations of Argonaut Farm.
