Commercial airline service is available from airports in Aspen, Eagle and Grand Junction. Aspen-Pitkin County Airport and the Eagle County Regional Airport are a little over an hour from Argonaut Farm and Walker Field in Grand Junction is about a two hour drive. Climate:
Situated at an elevation of 5,746’ and protected on two sides by 11,000’ mountains, Glenwood Springs enjoys an alpine climate with virtually no humidity in the summertime, little snow in the winter and an average of 300 days of sunshine each year. Summertime temperatures are in the 70s and 80s, and fall temperatures are in the 60s and 70s during the day with evening temperatures dropping into the 30s and 40s. Wintertime (December – February) sees daytime highs in the 30s and 40s and spring (March – May) highs are in the 60s and 70s. Average annual precipitation is 16.5 inches. Lower temperatures and more precipitation can be expected at the higher elevations of Argonaut Farm.

Acreage:
Argonaut Farm consists of approximately 1,135 contiguous acres with elevations of 6,500 feet to 8,000 feet ranging from lush landscaping around the main house to dense forest and high alpine meadows. White River National Forest and Sunlight Ski Area surround the farm, offering spectacular scenery.
