On September 8th, Ron attended the WYO Quarter Horse Ranch Sale in Thermopolis, Wyoming. Recognized as the nation’s elite Arena & Ranch Broke Gelding Sales with two sales each year, the event featured 37 arena and ranch broke geldings, 28 started two-year-olds, 10 yearlings and 18 weanlings – all bred by Bartlett Ranches and Bill and Carole Smith. While at the sale with his daughter and a fellow Round Up Rider, Jerry Black a friend from the Equine Sciences Program at CSU, Ron bid on a two year old gray gelding named “Be My Blue Juana.” Bred by H.B. “Woody” Bartlett DVM a good friend of Ron’s and the owner of Bartlett Ranches. This nicely put together colt with the Flying B brand out of Juana Royal Blue by Royals Diligents and by the stallion, Bee My Sierra, the colt (still unnamed) became a new member of the RMA equine team.
This good looking boy is without a barn name and Ron was hoping some of you could give us some input. Deadline is Friday, Setpember 28.
