Located on top of Deep Creek Mesa in Telluride’s private and exclusive Gray Head Wilderness Preserve community, the architecturally impressive 35-acre masterpiece known as Pa Gomo at Gray Head was sold at a live auction without reserve on July 12, 2012 and closed on August 12, 2012. The sale of Pa Gomo at Gray Head marks the highest-priced sale in Telluride, Colorado, in the past five years and produced over 500 inquiries, 12,000 website hits, 50 showings and brought 9 qualified bidders.

Auctioned by Concierge Auctions, Pa Gomo at Gray Head was listed by Steve Catsman of Telluride Real Estate and co-listed by Billy Long of Ranch Marketing Associates for $19.5 million. The property sold at auction for $13.2 million.

“Pa Gomo at Gray Head is an architectural work of art – built to mirror the contours of its surrounding mountain terrain,” says Billy Long. “It was artfully designed by renowned architect Jack Snow of RKD Architects, who is well-known for creating site-specific mountain-modern designs using organic materials and unconventional shapes that connect each structure to its surrounding natural landscape,” Long adds.

Time to move on at Prange Ranch

It’s never easy letting go of the family ranch, as Sue Beeson did with Prange Ranch. Ranch Marketing Associates had the listing for Prange Ranch and it was set to go to auction. However, prior to auction the property went under contract, then sold in early June. And the buyers couldn’t have been better — someone who will keep it as a family ranch.

“It is a relief. We hope they enjoy it and appreciate it like we have,” Beeson said in an interview with 9News recently.
