The J C Cross Ranch is sprinkler/pivot irrigated with 185 acres under pivot. A large pivot irrigates 135 acres and a smaller pivot, purchased in 2008, irrigates 50 acres. The ranch owns 260 acres of Henrylynn Irrigation District which equates to 104 acre feet at 25%-35% allocation, in addition to any direct water. In addition to these water resources, the ranch rents 87 acre-feet of water when precipitation levels are low and there is a holding pond on the property capable of storing 7 acre feet of water.

Hay Production:
Since 2003, J C Cross Ranch has grown and sold high quality orchard/brome grass hay to Colorado clients throughout the state. The grass hay produced is scientifically tested and fertilized to produce the highest quality product capable of growing on the property. In 2010, the J C Cross Ranch began producing Colorado State Certified weed-free grass hay.
