Owner’s Residence – Lazy H Ranch has some of the finest improvements you will find, carefully planned and located. The Owner’s Residence is a custom built two-level home by award winning Michael Barber Architecture and features a circular paved drive-up with a sculptured water feature providing a stately entry. The design would be considered High Plains Victorian Farm with classic clapboard siding above a rhyolite stone base that surrounds the entire house and is used on the chimneys. The house has a standing seam metal roof with a 54-foot covered front porch and a raised stone porch on the back of the house that wraps the corners, and is partially covered for over 166 feet.

At the main entry you enter into a 32′ X 67′ great room with large exposed beams. Designed for large gatherings, the room is scaled to create just the right atmosphere for one or many. At both ends of the room, large windows with double glass doors open to the outside porches. The room has a large natural gas fireplace, special accent lighting and rich looking Edelweiss wood flooring. Off one direction is the 39’ X 32’ master suite and 20’ X 30’ library/office. In the other direction is the formal 20’ X 30’ dining room with fireplace that leads through a service area to the gourmet kitchen with exposed beams and custom cabinets with glass fronts. On the other side of the kitchen is an eight-sided, two-story breakfast nook. Leaving the kitchen area you enter a video, pool table, card and recreation room. The room is 28′ X 20′ and includes a wet bar, fireplace and adjacent powder room. A complete 28’ X 32’ Guest Suite lies beyond the recreation room. The upper level is accessed from the great room and has two additional 20’ X 22’ guest bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.

From the kitchen, a few stairs lead down to the four-car, heated and completely finished garage with carriage doors. Further down, the lower level is roughed out to provide for a wine cellar and theatre. The home is heated by in-floor radiant heat throughout. A covered porch connects the house to a classic two-story 41′ X 87′ horse barn and kennel. There are four stable master stalls with auto water devices and outdoor 30 foot steel pipe runs. The interior is of Southern Yellow Pine and provides for tack, vet room, wash area, laundry, restroom and upper level lounge.
