Wild Rose Ranch

The 1,220-acre Wild Rose Ranch, originally part of the Stirrup Ranch, lies twenty miles from Canon City and includes a refurbished old log home, a functional
solar system which provides electricity to the house, a 350-gallon water tank, springs and creeks. The ranch is fenced and the lower meadows are sub-irrigated and have provided a hay crop in the past. Springs and intermittent creeks provide water for seasonal grazing of livestock and the wildlife which inhabit the property. Wildlife includes elk, antelope, deer and wild turkey. Black Mountain is located just to the west of the ranch and Antelope Mountain, on the backside of the ranch, contains several rock outcroppings which provide natural habitat for lion.
