Shadow Creek is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful ranches in Colorado. Riata Trail at Shadow Creek Ranch is one of 22 member homesteads sharing ownership of a 5,835±-acre working cattle ranch. The three-bedroom, 3,243 sq. ft. home and 4,910 sq. ft. party barn are sited for dramatic vistas of wildflower meadows, snowcapped mountain peaks and the nearby Green Mountain Reservoir. The Ranch members can be as actively involved in roundups and other cattle operations as they want to be or they can just kick back and be pampered by the ranch’s full time concierge and wrangler staff. Members either can have their own horses on their individual homestead or boarded at the ranch. Alternatively, a ranch cowboy will bring a saddled one from the ranch herd for you to ride on the hundreds of miles of trails. Ranch staff also serve as big game hunting or trout fishing guides on the “Gold Medal” waters of the Blue River that run through the ranch. A full-time chef and wait staff are on hand for gourmet meals in the lodge dining room. The lodge also has four suites for guests or members who have not yet built their homes. Additionally, there is a luxurious four-bedroom, five-bath guest cabin for members. There are also five fully stocked cabins near trout ponds in remote corners of the ranch for back to nature overnights or a mid-day lunch. A sixth cabin is sited on the river for fly-fishermen. Trap, skeet, a rifle range, ski and sledding hills, an indoor riding arena and numerous spring fed trout ponds round out recreational opportunities on the ranch.
